This home page was designed for the Interaction Conference, held in December 1996 by the
Creative Media subgroup of the Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Panel,
the Creative Media arm of the DTI Technology Foresight Programme.

The workshop was held at UWE, the University of the West of England where Glenn Hall was
MediaLab Director. We had become friends with Glenn when he was Technical Director of Aardman
Animations back in '95. Glen knew of our multimedia interests and asked us to design a home
page for the Creative Media Workshop.

We quite liked this "focus contrast" means of having an interesting background without it
overwhelming the main content and reused the idea in Duck City Central.
